Finance on the Coast is the specialist property finance division of Model Mortgages Pty Ltd, founded by Virginia Graham in 2004 in Bondi Junction.
What started as a boutique mortgage brokerage in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs has grown into a high-performing, tech-forward team supporting clients across the east coast of Australia. Today, we help families, professionals, and investors navigate lending with clarity and confidence.

Virginia brought a powerful blend of banking, treasury, and financial planning experience into the broking world — and a drive to modernise the entire process. A former interest rate dealer at ANZ Treasury and author of Flirting with Finance (Fairfax), Virginia built the business to strip out the gatekeeping and give people the tools to succeed financially.
In 2010, Phil Riches joined the business after a successful career in lending at Westpac. Together, they expanded the business and created Finance on the Coast — a division focused on excellence, strategy, and service, not volume.
